Apparatus Technician I is a dynamic role that performs the installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of various electronic and electrical apparatus, transmission media, metering apparatus and substation and line equipment. There will be occasional exposure to work on or near energized and de-energized equipment in SSEMC-owned facilities, substations, on pole lines and at member premises under direct supervision of the Apparatus department supervisor or other responsible personnel as assigned. A successful candidate has excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, enjoys doing meticulous hands-on work like painting/sanding equipment, and values a teamwork environment.
